Svensk Handel has assembled a qualified consultancy corps specializing in the topics that particularly affect commerce, as well as a comprehensive lobbying group whose task is to explain to politicians and lawmakers the conditions needed for commerce to work smoothly for customers, employees and entrepreneurs alike.

We employ specialists in everything from employer law, purchasing and contract law, to market law and rent law, in order to assist companies with imports, incorporation, security issues, training, and more.

We bring our knowledge and experience to bear in order to provide large and small companies alike with tangible help and advice for day to day issues as well as for complicated legal affairs. Svensk Handel’s network and good offices provide members with access to politicians, civil servants, business offices and other decision-makers that affect the conditions in which our member companies do business.

Our training programs, conferences and seminars increase awareness and augment the efficacy and profitability of our member companies, and also give companies the chance to keep abreast of new regulations and trends in commerce.

With offices throughout the country, we are in close proximity to our member companies; our entrenchment at the local level is our special strength.

The benefits of membership
As a member of Svensk Handel, you’ll have access to a wide variety of benefits and rebates from our partners. There are numerous other benefits in areas such as telephony, recruiting, credit reports, insurances and more.

The cost of membership
Membership in Svensk Handel includes an automatic membership in Svenskt Näringsliv. For this reason, Svensk Handel’s membership dues are divided into two parts: One to Svensk Handel and one to Svenskt Näringsliv.
For companies with a maximum of 249 employees, the fee is based on the total wages paid out by the company, but is calculated in differing ways. The wage base used in calculating dues excludes salaries paid to owners and their families, as well as to executive directors (VD). No exceptions are made for owners and their families or executive directors in calculating dues owed to Svenskt Näringsliv.
